Swine Flu Pandemic: Preparing Businesses through the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC
HARRISBURG (September 3, 2009) - The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC wants to keep its members informed on local, regional, state, and national issues that affect the regional business community. The H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu) is currently the topic of discussion as the flu season approaches. Please visit www.HarrisburgRegionalChamber.org and click on the Swine Flu button located on the right hand side of the homepage. You will find links to both the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention websites.
The site will be updated from time to time with information from both government agencies and best practices from around the country.
"If the Swine Flu outbreak is as severe as some believe, businesses should be prepared with best health practices in their facilities as well as other potential challenges due to staff shortages because of illness or caring for a sick family member and other workplace interruptions," stated President & CEO, David E. Black. "Because of the potential threat to business as usual, we feel it is important to keep our members and the regional business community informed."
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region. HRC/CREDC has been accredited with four stars from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
