Supplier Diversity Symposium to be Held to Connect Regional Businesses with Opportunities
HARRISBURG (August 27, 2009) - The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC will hold a Supplier Diversity Symposium, Wednesday, September 23rd, 7:30am-11:30am at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Convention Center. The objective of the event is to connect diverse businesses with opportunities for new business.
The half-day event will provide businesses the platform to network with decision makers from large corporations with contracting opportunities. The event is open to certification providers, diversity professionals, prime contractors, grant and contract managers, procurement and purchasing professionals, project managers and small businesses. The symposium will teach attendees how to best position their business for long term success.
While this is the first event of its kind HRC/CREDC is holding, a similar Central Pennsylvania event has been held for the past four years. Organizations involved with the Supplier Diversity Symposium are listed below.

This event grew out of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC's 2003 Board retreat and the need for greater inclusion and understanding of diversity in our region. Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, The Hershey Company, The Patriot-News and Highmark are the founding partners for the program.
