The Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC Helps Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc Expand Facilities

HARRISBURG, PA (January 16, 2007) - The Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC (HRC/CREDC) announced today that it provided financing to Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. to purchase and renovate property along Paxton Street, Swatara Township, Dauphin County, PA. This property will serve to consolidate the company's operations under one roof whereas their former location consisted of three separate buildings. In addition, this new facility will have all warehousing operations on one floor instead of two.

Schaedler Bros. Mfg. Co. was founded in 1924 by brothers Andrew, Harry and William Schaedler. On June 27, 1999 the shareholders of Schaedler and YESCO (formerly York Electric Supply Company) adopted a plan to merge and the resulting company was renamed Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. The company has four major product lines including lighting selection and design products, construction, data and communications networking products and industrial and original equipment manufacturer products. They operate in three strategic divisions including inventory management solutions, the Center for Applied Skills Training, and DataCom. Executive officers include James Schaedler as CEO, Mathew Brnik as President, Tom Schaedler, Jr. as VP of Data Management & Purchasing, and James Hoffman as VP of Operations. Jim LaRocca serves as Controller.

"CREDC's commitment and support of locally owned business was evident in each step of the process," stated Jim LaRocca, Controller. "The financing package from CREDC/PIDA will save our company significant interest expense in the coming years and helps us position the business for future growth in the region, as well as providing growth opportunities for our employees."

HRC/CREDC provided a Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan of $2,000,000 in conjunction with Citizens Bank financing and other equity contributions. The PIDA loan program provides low-interest loans to eligible businesses that commit to creating and/or retaining jobs in Pennsylvania.
